Couples Therapy

Couples therapy (sometimes known as marriage counselling) offers you and your partner a space to return to the basics: the fundamentals of communication, understanding, and connection.

  • Often, the noise of daily life, such as family, work, social pressures, can make it difficult to focus on your relationship and each other.

  • I provide a non-judgmental space where both of you can reflect, reconnect, and be heard. I don’t come to sessions with an agenda; instead, I help you notice recurring themes, unhelpful patterns, and behaviours that may be getting in the way. Together, we can explore what these patterns mean and what’s possible moving forward.

  • For some couples, this may mean creating a more fulfilling and connected future together. For others, it may involve coming to terms with a relationship ending and finding ways to navigate that with clarity and compassion.

Improving Communication

In my experience, regardless of the reason a couple come to therapy, one of the key issues is the communication style.

In therapy, we break it down and go back to basics, so that you can start to actually hear eachother.

Open Relationships

I support individuals and couples exploring or navigating ethical non-monogamy and open relationships. My approach is nonjudgmental and grounded in clear communication, mutual consent, and respect for diverse relationship structures.

Mismatched Desire

It is common in relationships to have one partner who has a higher sex drive / libido and often the 'blame' can go on the partner with the lower libido. In therapy we unpack this, and think about what can comfortably and happily work for you both.

Infidelity

I support couples in navigating the aftermath of infidelity or betrayal with compassion and clarity. Together, we work to rebuild trust, understand the roots of the rupture, and explore whether, and how, healing and reconnection are possible.

Re-Kindling

Some couples come to therapy to have a safe space to re-kindle their relationship, get to know eachother abit more and light/re-light the emotional connection.

Feeling 'stuck' or 'stale'

I help couples who feel stuck, disconnected, or caught in repetitive patterns. Our work focuses on rekindling connection, improving communication, and creating space for growth, clarity, and renewed intimacy.
